The Kelpie Kid
I have a deep passion for working breed dogs and have always been fascinated by their intelligence and capabilities. My curiosity about how to achieve exceptional training results led me to seek guidance from the best experts in the field. Through dedicated learning and hands-on experience, I have built a robust knowledge base that enables me not only to train my own dogs effectively but also to share this expertise with others.
Why Sheep-herding
Below are five reasons why getting your dog into herding is a great choice.
New Hobby & Challenge
Whether you are a newbie to the herding scene or experienced, begin your journey here by training and eventually participating in our trials and competitions.
Mental Stimulation
Herding offers mental stimulation in addition to physical stimulation. Like us humans tire after a long drive or exam, mental stimulation is very fatiguing. Inexperienced dogs can tire in as little as 3 minutes.
Bond Formation
Herding creates a tight bond with you and your dog. It's in the dog's instinct to work for and please you when herding. Working on commands and introducing boundaries whilst herding forms respect, which is essential.
Improved Obedience
If we can control a dog with sheep, we can control the dog in all environments.
Instinct Based
Unlike agility and other training practices, herding uses a dog's natural ability and instinct. We don't necessarily teach, more we guide and control.
Dogs we Cater for
The below breeds have the instinct to herd

The Australian Kelpie, or simply Kelpie, is an Australian sheepdog capable of mustering and droving with little or no guidance. It is a medium-sized dog and comes in a variety of colours. The Kelpie has been exported throughout the world and is used to muster livestock, primarily sheep, cattle and goats.
Koolie
The Koolie is an Australian dog breed. The Koolie is a working or herding dog which has existed in Australia since the early 19th century when it was bred from imported British working dogs.

Any Cross Breed
If you own a dog that isn't one of the above breeds but is a cross of one of the above breeds, it may have some instinct to herd.
Cattle Dog
The Australian Cattle Dog, or simply Cattle Dog, is a breed of herding dog developed in Australia for droving cattle over long distances across rough terrain. This breed is a medium-sized, short-coated dog that occurs in two main colour forms.
